Lone Scherfig returns to the 69th Berlinale with her latest movie The Kindness of Strangers
The movie, in competition, opened the dutch festival February 7th as a world premiere, among the actors Bill Nighy, which received theKey to the City of Montone during the UFF 2017.
The film is about a mother escaping an abusive husband with her sons. Arrived in New York she’ll finds solace in the friendship woven with a group of five characters in the same dire straits. The frailty of a life lived in New York becomes more tolerable with the help of connections made in the toughest situations.
