Thomas Vinterberg, winning at the 2021 Oscars for the Best International Film category, with Druk – Another round, tells about himself in an exclusive interview at the 25th Umbria Film Festival.
In his works, Vinterberg deals with the constraining effects of presentday social mores: he skillfully explores what the many think, but the few have the courage to say.
But what happens to those who manage to free themselves? What happens to those who live outside, even if only for one day? Druk – Another round talks about “the uncontrollable, the unplanned and the decisions you can’t make.”
