2020 UFF Screenwriting Class

24° UFF organization goes on at full speed, as we have promised!

Among the festival’s planned events, we want to announce you the opening of two free courses.

The first one is the Screenplay Class, which will be conducted by the director and screenwriter Emiliano Corapi, who won the Screenplay Moravia Award, the Torino Film Festival Audience’s Award and the Nastro d’Argento Award.

He directed “L’Amore a Domicilio”, performed by Miriam Leone and Simone Liberati: the movie was presented at the 23° Umbria Film Festival and it is scheduled these days on Amazon Prime Video.

The course aims to introduce the phases that lead to the screenplay, starting from the basic idea.

There will be practical lessons and exercises on the structure and the form of the idea, the subject and the treatment.

Then the development of the story and the script will take place.

The partecipants will practice all these new knowledges: they will write their own scripts, collaborating in small groups, just like professional screenwriters.

The limited enrollment course will take place on 7 and 8 August, in the Council Hall of Montone.

For both days the partecipants’ availability is required from 9.30 am to 7.30 pm. The days will be divided into three meetings, two hours each one (the participants will work on the assigned exercises, divided into groups of 3 units, during the intervals).

The times will be the following, both for the 7th and 8th August:

  • 9.30 am – 11.30 am
  • 2.00 pm – 4.00 pm
  • 5.30 pm – 7.30 pm

The second course is the Documentary Photography Class (you can find all the informations at this link: 2020 UFF Documentary Photography Class).
