Stephane, a French guy obsessed with the voice of a gipsy singer, goes to Romany to find her. An old gipsy leader welcomes him in his home like a son. Stephane gets in touch with the gipsy musicians and records every meeting on a Dat. tape. Sabina, a gipsy with a strong and rebellious character, escorts him around and slowly falls in love with him. In the meantime old gipsy leader’s son gets out of jail looking for revenge.
