WWII, before the US landing in Italy an American plane is shot down. Tony, the young fighter pilot, is hidden by the family of Carmine Pantaleo. Tony is the son of Italian immigrants, therefore during his stay he discovers his roots and falls in love with Carmine’s daughter, Cosima, courted by Pasquale. During a fiesta Cosima dances the traditional Salentino ‘pizzicata’ with Tony showing her true feelings.

EDOARDO WINSPEARE

Born in Austria in 1965, descendent of an ancient family from Yorkshire then settled in the Kingdom of Naples, he grows up in the Salentino peninsula. He moves to Florence to study photogray and cinema, then he moves first to New York and after to Munich where he graduates in film direction at the Hochschule für Fernsehen und Film. After working on many sets of short films and documentaries as assistant director, camera operator, film editor and sound engineer, he debuts as director with his first feature film Pizzicata.
