Synopsis

Based on a local legend from Papua New Guinea, IDODO retells the story of how reef fish got their beautiful colouring. The animated short film is a dedicated collaboration between artists from Papua New Guinea and Switzerland, rooted in cultural co-creation and brings the unique cultural heritage of Papua New Guinea, to an international audience.

 

Biography

Papua-New-Guinea-born Ursula Ulmi graduated in 2008 in Animation from the Lucerne University of Applied Science and Art. Her graduation film “Moon Children” was shown at over 50 Film Festivals worldwide and won several awards. Since 2016 she is and independent Animation Producer, Director and Consultant.
